Registered Counsellor
Bachelor of Science (Psychology), Master of Arts (Marriage and Family Therapy/Counselling)
I am a PACFA registered counsellor who provides support for clients of all ages. I can help you navigate complex emotional and behavioural challenges to achieve a more balanced, fulfilling life. I also support families to better understand what might be happening for them, and how they can foster more peace and connection at home.
I aim to make complex ideas simple and useful, so you can take what we discuss and apply it in real life. I believe therapy should feel supportive and practical. My approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and grounded in real-world clinical experience.
How I Can Help
- Individual counselling using evidence-based approaches such as:
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
- Play-Based Therapy
- Preventative Mental Health Care that supports parents to build emotional resilience and social skills in their children, and strengthen family connections.
- Creating Practical Community Resources for families that complement therapy and make psychological concepts easy to apply in everyday life
Experience
My experience in the US healthcare system in both intensive inpatient and private practice settings gave me a unique perspective on the full spectrum of mental health care. I have used approaches like Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to support people and groups with challenges such as emotional and behavioural problems, depression, anxiety, stress, substance abuse, family situations, and neurodiversity. This experience continues to shape my work today, with care, nuance, and a focus on helping individuals and families thrive.
