Aqsa Ghafoor

Provisional Psychologist

Master of Clinical Psychology, Bachelor of Science (Psychology)

I am a provisional psychologist with experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families across therapy, community, and telehealth settings. I work with people who are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward.

Therapy can be a place to slow things down in this rapidly moving world and make sense of what has been happening for you. This may involve exploring past experiences, understanding emotional patterns, building new coping skills, or having a safe space to speak openly.

My approach is gentle, curious, and collaborative, with a focus on helping you feel comfortable, respected, and involved in the process. I work with you to understand what matters most and what kind of support feels useful for where you are right now.

I have a strong understanding of trauma and emotional wellbeing, particularly how earlier experiences can influence relationships, stress responses, identity, and the way we cope day to day. I take a flexible, person-centred approach and draw on evidence-based strategies depending on your needs, goals, and pace.

How I Can Help

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Play-Based Therapy
  • Trauma-informed Therapy
